We are glad that you are interested in working with us!

Here in western Värmland, among vast lakes and lush forests, there is a strong glow that spreads warmth and light. The glow is our vision and guiding star. In the Arvika municipal group, approximately 2,700 competent employees work today. Welcome to join us!

Do you want to help create an “Arvika that glows”?

We are looking for someone who enjoys the role of instructor and wants to contribute to a work environment characterized by joy, care, and flexibility.

Together, we work to create a welcoming environment where your ability to see our guests and lead various forms of group activities and teaching becomes an important part of our collective success.

About the position

In this recruitment, we place particular emphasis on your ability to lead and instruct groups. We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking on the instructor role in front of others and has experience in:

  • Swimming instruction: A large and important part of our daily work consists of conducting swimming instruction for all schools and residents of the municipality, regardless of conditions or age.
  • Wellness and group training: As an instructor for our group training sessions, the focus is on creating an environment where everyone feels included. Our presence contributes to making training a positive and safe experience for all.
  • Water safety and safety awareness: Having good knowledge of the risks in the facility and actively working to identify and prevent accidents. Being prepared to perform life-saving interventions if the situation requires it.
  • Service and hospitality: For us, professional interaction begins long before the guest steps through the door.
  • Facility maintenance: We are responsible for all cleaning in both the swimming and sports hall, from water samples to daily cleaning, where flexibility is the guiding principle to see what needs to be done at the moment.

Who are you?

A person who enjoys working in a team, who puts “the team before oneself.” We value that you are flexible, have self-awareness, and contribute to a positive atmosphere in the workplace. You are curious, open to change, and have a desire to learn new things. You are comfortable taking on the instructor role and leading others.

Requirements and selection process

  • Swimming proficiency is a requirement to perform the job.
  • As part of the recruitment process, we will conduct practical swimming and diving tests.
  • We will also ask selected candidates to conduct a practical test in the form of a simpler group training session to assess your ability to instruct and lead a group.

We offer

A workplace where we support and help each other in everyday life, take responsibility, and give each other praise. Here you will have the opportunity to influence by being involved and taking initiative in a business that is an important meeting place for many residents of Arvika.

We look forward to your application!
